After a four month return engagement in mornings at Waterloo Media Alternative “101X” 101.5 KROX-FM Buda/Austin TX and middays at “ESPN 102.7” K274AX/KBPA-HD2, Jason Dick once again has exited the company.
Dick tweeted earlier this month that his “trial re-employment has been terminated”. He will be launching a podcast on Christmas Day.
Dick returned to KROX-FM in August after being laid off in December 2022 following a 22 year run. Dick began his career at KROX-FM while attending the University of Texas in 2000. He joined the station’s morning show in 2004 and was paired with Deb O’Keefe for the “Jason & Deb Show” from 2006 until O’Keefe’s exit in March 2021. At that time, the show was renamed “Jason Dick & Friends” until his first departure. When he returned in August, he joined his former producer/co-host Nick Hajda on “The Morning X” and on an 11am-1pm Sports talk show on K274AX.
Hadja will now focus solely on the Sports show as Norfolk VA based single-named Alex takes over “The Morning X”. She is also heard in middays on AAA “97.1 Austin City Limits Radio” K246BD Austin/KGSR-HD2 and in her home market as ‘Alex Rose’ on Alternative “96X” WROX-FM as well as afternoons on Variety Hits “93.7 Bob-FM” WNOB.
I have unfortunately been informed that my “trial re-employment has been terminated” with 101x and ESPN. Appreciative for the opportunity. Believe Nick will be reassigned & morning show will be music. He will do sports. Love him forever. And thankful to Lynn.
