Jamie Cawdell made Radio Essex assistant programme controller

Radio Essex has promoted producer Jamie Cawdell to the position of Assistant Programme Controller.

He’ll be working across the output and management of the station.

Jamie has been with Radio Essex since 2015 and has worked across various departments within the company alongside his role as Managing Editor at The CHR Prep Service.

Speaking to RadioToday about the new role, he said: “This is a really exciting new chapter in my career within the industry and I’m really excited to get started with it all.

“One of the best things in radio is being about to coach young talent as they start their own journey into
the industry and I’m so pleased part of my role will include doing just that.”

Chris Brooks, Programme Controller, added: “Jamie has been instrumental in the success of the station in the last couple of years. His knowledge and ability to help new talent reach their potential is invaluable to us and we look forward to Jamie starting in this new role.”
