Jake Query Joins The Fan Indianapolis As Morning Co-host

Emmis Sports “93.5/107.5 The Fan” W228CX/W298BB/93.1 WIBC-HD2 Indianapolis has announced the addition of Jake Query as new morning co-host alongside Kevin Bowen.

Query previously spent eight years hosting “The Query and Schultz Show” from 2011 until January 2020. He also was a sports reporter and anchor for WRTV-TV and hosted mornings on Emmis News/Talk 1070 WIBC. He will join Bowen, who took over mornings in August following the move of former PD/morning host Jeff Rickard to Audacy’s 93.7 WEEI-FM Boston and the exit of ‘Big Joe’ Staysniak.

Query was a sports reporter and anchor on WRTV (ABC) in Indy before becoming the morning show host on WIBC, owned by Emmis Communications.

Jake Query will join Indianapolis’ 93.5 & 107.5 The Fan Morning Show as permanent co-host with Kevin Bowen, the station announced today.

“Kevin & Query” will air weekdays 7 am to 10 am starting Monday, November 8 on The Fan 93.5 & 107.5, and streaming at 1075thefan.com.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Emmis and Kevin on the morning show,” Query said. “Kevin is an exceptionally knowledgeable broadcaster, which I hope will complement my average-at-best academic resume.

“During the last 22 months, I’ve been fortunate to gain many valuable, and previously overlooked, personal perspectives,” Query continued. “One thing that needed no further solidification was my love for the city of Indianapolis. To be given the privilege to again speak to and with people from all corners and backgrounds of this town means the world to me. I’m grateful for the opportunity and am excited to be part of the trajectory of the morning show on The Fan. It’s a great honor.”

“Jake is an Indianapolis sports lifer and a gifted storyteller,” said David Wood, VP/Programming of Emmis Indianapolis. “It was clear that Kevin and Jake had an instant and interesting chemistry when they did several shows together in October. They are going to give Indy sports fans a consistently fun and informative show.”

Query spent eight years co-hosting the Query and Schultz Show on WNDE in Indianapolis. An Indianapolis native and longtime sports reporter and host, Query is the Turn 3 announcer for IMS events, and the senior turn announcer for all IndyCar broadcasts. He will continue his motor sports announcing roles. Query is a proud product of North Central High School and Indiana University.
