Midwest Communications has launched CHR “Hot 98.1” on 970 WDUL/98.1 W251CD Superior WI/Duluth MN.
The station is utilizing programming from Westwood One including Jonathan Doll in mornings, Jay Cruze in middays, Kelsie Paige in afternoons and Elliot & Nina at night. The new format creates a competitor to Townsquare Media Adult CHR “Mix 108” KBMX.
The flip concludes an AM programming shuffle started by Midwest in February when Conservative Talk 710 WDSM and W251CD flipped to Sports as “710 The Game” taking the programming that had been on 970 WDUL.
