iHeartMedia is launching “The V Bros” at night on five stations on Monday, November 6.
The “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM Boston afternoon show that features brothers Mikey and Frankie Vinci and Gianna Gravalese will debut on CHRs “96.5 Kiss-FM” WAKS Cleveland, “Hits 95.7” KDHT Denver, “Kiss 95.7” WKSS-FM Hartford, and “Z100” KKRZ Portland along with Hip Hop “102.3 The Beat” KPEZ Austin. Additional stations will follow.
Frankie currently tracks nights on KDHT and KPEZ and Mikey tracks nights on WAKS. The V Bros will replace WIHT Washington DC’s Nick Gomez on KKRZ, while WKSS-FM evening host Michael Perez moves to sister “KC 101” WKCI New Haven.
“The V Bros” debuted on WXKS-FM in September 2022 with Gravelese joining the brothers. Prior to that Frankie had been appearing on part of Mikey’s afternoon show in addition to his role as morning co-host at CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM and APD/MD of Rhythmic CHR “Jam’n 95.7” KSSX San Diego.
Frankie is on his second stint in San Diego where he first co-hosted mornings at KHTS-FM from 2010-15 before a brief move home to Boston to do mornings at iHeart’s “Jam’n 94.5” WJMN. He returned to San Diego in 2016 to host afternoons and then mornings at KSSX before moving back to KHTS-FM in January 2020. Earlier in his career, Frankie worked weekends at WFHN New Bedford MA, WQSX Boston, and WKSS Hartford and then hosted nights at WJBQ Portland and later back at WKSS.
Mikey joined WXKS-FM in 2013 as night host before moving to afternoons in 2016 and added APD/MD duties in July 2017. Prior to joining Kiss, he started in weekends at WFHN like his brother and then moved to nights at WFIZ Ithaca NY, WNOW-FM Indianapolis, and WDZH Detroit.
Gravelese previously interned at iHeart Boston in 2019-20 and also is a reporter for NESN’s Dirty Water TV.
