iHeartMedia Implements COVID-19 Vaccination/Testing Policy

In order to follow the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard guidelines requiring all employers with 100 or more workers after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit overturned the block on it, iHeartMedia informed employees today what they need to do to follow the federal policy.

In a memo sent to all employees today by Chief Human Resources & Chief Diversity Officer Michelle Laven, all vaccinated employees must submit proof of vaccination by January 10, 2022. Starting on February 9, 2022, all employees who are not fully vaccinated must submit a negative test (weekly if you go into offices one or more time per week or within 7 days prior to each entry if only occasionally) and wear a mask at all times. iHeart will give up to 4 hours paid during a workday for employees to receive each dose and up to 2 days of paid time to recover from side effects if you don’t have any paid sick leave available.

Employees will be able to request religious or disability exemptions through the third party provider being used to submit vaccination statuses.

All of these requirements are what is currently being required by the Executive Order signed by President Biden in November.
