iHeartMedia Hartford/New Haven Area President Steve Honeycomb Announces Retirement

Steve Honeycomb iHeartMedia Hartford New HaveniHeartMedia Hartford/New Haven Area President Steve Honeycomb will retire from his full-time role at the end of the year.

Honeycomb began his career in 1985 at 940 WINE Brookfield CT before joining 100.5 WRCH Hartford as an account executive in 1987. He would join Clear Channel Hartford as National Sales Manager in 2000 and rose to Director of Sales in 2008 and Market President in 2008. Honeycomb has held his current position as Area President for both markets since 2014. He will assist the company in a consulting role through the end of 2025. Honeycomb has also served on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Broadcasters Association since 2010 and was Chair in 2019-20.

He commented, “I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent my entire career in Connecticut, the place I call home, in an industry I love. It has been a journey full of extraordinary moments, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to iHeartMedia for the countless opportunities I’ve been given to grow, lead and learn.”

iHeartMedia Markets Group President Hartley Adkins added, “Steve’s leadership and vision have been instrumental to the success of our Hartford and New Haven markets. We are extremely grateful for his hard work, dedication and commitment throughout his years with iHeart, and wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.”
