iHeartMedia has announced the appointment of Shannon Wray-Norris as SVP/Programming and and Phil Nappen as SVP/Sales for their newly acquired Atlantic City NJ cluster.
Both Wray-Norris and Nappen worked for the seller Equity Communications. Wray-Norris served as Director of Marketing and Promotions since 2009. Before a stint in Public Relations, she held Marketing/Promotions Director duties at Clear Channel clusters in Cincinnati, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Syracuse NY between 1998 and 2004.
Nappen served as Equity’s Digital Sales Manager since August 2016. He previously worked in event marketing for the Borgata Casino and a local nightclub in Atlantic City.
iHeartMedia announced today that Shannon Wray-Norris has been named Senior Vice President, Programming and Operations, and Phil Nappen has been named Senior Vice President, Sales, for Atlantic City, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Atlantic City has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than four stations comprised of music formats.
iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Senior Vice President Programming and Operations, Shannon Wray-Norris will be responsible for supervising programming, promotions and operations. As Senior Vice President Sales, Phil Nappen will be responsible for the sales of the cluster. Both will report to Brit Goldstein, Area President for iHeartMedia Pennsylvania.
“Shannon and Phil are both uniquely talented, highly skilled and exceptionally well prepared to take iHeartMedia Atlantic City to unprecedented heights. We are so excited to see them flourish in these new roles,” said Brit Goldstein.
Shannon and Phil join the iHeartMedia Atlantic City market from Equity Communications as part of iHeart’s recent acquisition of four heritage brands: 95.1 WAYV, 100.7 WZXL, 96.1 WTTH and 99.3 The Buzz.
“I’m thrilled to once again represent the same company that first launched my radio career. As part of the iHeartMedia team, we now have an unlimited number of resources to offer to our listeners, our talent and our partnerships. This combination can only elevate our position in the market and strengthen relationships locally, regionally and beyond,” said Shannon Wray-Norris.
“iHeartMedia is best in class, and we are excited to empower our local partners with new and enhanced broadcast, digital, mobile and social capabilities in transforming their businesses into unforgettable brands,” said Phil Nappen.
