Scott Hutton’s Hutton Broadcasting, which currently owns six stations in Santa Fe NM, is purchasing nine stations in Farmington NM and Cortez and Durango CO serving the Four Corners from American General Media.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. In a statement, Hutton wrote, “This is an exciting day for us. We continue to grow our footprint in New Mexico and now are dipping our toes into Colorado. I focus myself and my executive team on looking forward by prioritizing the future of our employees, our advertisers, and our communities.”
The deal will include the following stations:
Cortez CO: Hot AC 98.7 KRTZ and 740 KVFC/92.3 K222AD Cortez
Durango CO: Hot AC “92.9 The Point” KPTE Bayfield, CHR “99X” KKDG Durango, and News/Talk 1240 KDGO/98.3 K252FJ Durango
Farmington NM: Classic Rock 92.5 KRWN Farmington, Country “Kiss Country” 97.9 KISZ-FM Cortez CO/99.3 K257DQ Farmington, AC “Pirate Radio 107.9” KPRT-FM Kirtland, and News/Talk 1390 KENN/92.1 K221DJ Farmington.
AGM will retain its clusters in Albuquerque NM and Bakersfield, San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria CA. In addition to the six stations in Santa Fe, Hutton Broadcasting operates multiple city events platforms in New Mexico including SantaFe.com and LasCruces.com, magazines, and video production services.
