After just nine months on the air, Rhythmic CHR “Hot 101.7” 1430 WLTG/101.7 W269DR Panama City FL has ceased operations.
Gold Standard Broadcasting had begun operating Laurie Broadcasting’s WLTG/W269DR via Time Brokerage Agreement in September 2020 to operate in tandem with Sports “ESPN 104.3” WGSX Lynn Haven. As of August 1, Faith Broadcasting will take over the lease for $3000 per month to operate it as Spanish Christian “Radio Fe” simulcasting 1070 WFRF/106.7 W294CX Tallahassee. Faith Broadcasting is also in the process of purchasing 1290 WPCF/93.1 W226CJ Panama City Beach, which will carry their English “Faith Radio” which is currently heard on five stations across the Florida Panhandle.
As filler until the new format debuts, WLTG is running the “Trop Rock Radio” programming that had been heard on WPCF until 2014 operated by local engineer/musician Steven Youngblood.
