Hope Media Group has announced a series of executive management promotions led by the rise of Tim Dukes from Chief Operating Officer to President of the organization.
Dukes had served as COO since June 2020 first for Way Media Group ahead of its merger with KSBJ Houston to create Hope Media Group in January 2022. He originally joined Way Media in 2015 as General Manager of 89.7 KAWA Sanger/Dallas TX then added oversight of the group’s stations in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, and Alabama in 2019. Dukes worked on-air at WYHY Nashville and WFLZ Tampa, programmed WEBN Cincinnati and WLUP Chicago, and served as Director of FM Programming for Jacor San Diego, Regional VP/Programming for Clear Channel Atlanta, and Director of Operations for NextMedia’s suburban Chicago stations in his secular radio career. He also was VP/Marketing for Tribune Interactive and COO of The Halftime Institute before joining Way Media.
In his new role, Dukes will continue to oversee day-to-day operations, leveraging his extensive media experience. His new title aligns with the positive influence he has had on the ministry and gives him the authority necessary to expand HMG’s scope through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
Joe Paulo, formerly President and CEO, will remain as Chief Executive Officer streamlining his role as he continues to guide HMG through its next phase of growth. Tim and Joe will collaborate closely on strategic opportunities to enhance HMG’s mission and results. Paulo said, “Healthy things grow, and growing things change. These promotions highlight our commitment to nurturing internal talent and expanding our leadership capacity to drive continued growth and innovation for the ministry.”
Desiree Gonzalez has been promoted from Chief Financial Officer to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Her role is expanded beyond financial responsibilities to include oversight of Human Resources, Data Management, Software Engineering, Legal and Compliance, and other core operational functions.
Shawn Hill has been promoted to Senior Vice President (SVP) of Finance. He will now oversee both Finance and Accounting for Hope Media Group.
