Holy Family Communications Expands In Massachusetts

Holy Family Communications, which operates the Catholic “The Station of the Cross” network along the Interstate 90 corridor from Boston to Ohio, is adding two more stations in Massachusetts.

In a deal not yet filed with the FCC, Holy Family Communications will acquire fellow Catholic operator Emmanuel Communications and their 1230 WNEB Worcester and 970 WESO Southbridge MA for an undisclosed amount. The duo will join 1060 WQOM Natick/Boston in Holy Family’s Massachusetts holdings.

Holy Family will begin programming the two stations via LMA on January 1, 2022.

“We are very pleased to be able to expand our programming into Worcester,” said Jim Wright, president of The Station of the Cross. “We look forward to building upon the great foundation that has already been laid and ensuring that listeners in the region continue to hear edifying Catholic programs that help them live the Catholic faith and grow closer to God.”

Founded in 1999, The Station of the Cross broadcasts a combination of national shows from EWTN Radio and Ave Maria Radio, as well as several self-produced shows.
