iHeartMedia Rhythmic AC 103.5 WKTU Lake Success/New York has announced it has agreed to a three-year contract extension with afternoon host Sean ‘Hollywood’ Hamilton.
Hamilton has been with KTU for most of the current brand’s existence. He originally co-hosted nights with ‘Goumba Johnny’ Sialiano from its launch in 1996 until 1999 and then returning to host afternoons in 2006. He has been in afternoons solo since 2010. Prior to joining KTU, Hamilton was part of the original airstaff at CHR “Z100” WHTZ from 1983 to 1987, then moved to Los Angeles to host nights at 102.7 KIIS-FM from 1987 to 1996. During his tenure at WKTU, he previously hosted afternoons at sister Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG Los Angeles and from 1996 until 2021 he hosted and/or produced the syndicated “Hollywood Hamilton’s Weekend Top 30”, “Remix Top 30 with Hollywood Hamilton”, and “Weekend Top 30 with DJ Pup Dawg”.
Hamilton was inducted into to the Radio Hall of Fame in 2019. His daughter Tay Hamilton co-hosts afternoons at iHeartMedia Country “The Big 98” WSIX Nashville.
iHeartMedia today announced an exclusive long-term agreement with its noted New York personality Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton to renew his relationship with the company.
Under the new three-year agreement, Hamilton will continue his current role as host of the afternoon show on 103.5 KTU, The Beat of New York. This year, Hamilton brought back the popular feature, ‘War of the Roses’ which can be heard daily on 103.5 KTU in the 5 p.m. hour.Hamilton is a successful radio veteran who has worked at Z100 New York, KIIS-FM Los Angeles and was a part of the original on-air staff when WKTU launched in 1996. Hamilton was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2019.
