The fourth and final day of Nielsen Audio’s PPM releases for the month bring Austin, Raleigh/Durham, Indianapolis, Nashville, Milwaukee, Providence, Norfolk, Jacksonville, Greensboro/Winston-Salem, West Palm Beach, Memphis, and Hartford.

Also today Fall ratings were released for Anchorage, Binghamton, Charleston WV, Erie, Eugene/Springfield, Evansville, Huntington/Ashland, Macon, Morgantown/Clarksburg/Fairmont, Rockford, Tallahassee, Valdosta and Wausau/Stevens Point.
Austin
Audacy AC “Majic 95.5” KKMJ surges up nearly 5 share points year-over-year with its 15.2 up from a 10.7 last year. Ratings Expert Chris Huff also notes this is an all-time record high for KKMJ.
Waterloo Media Variety Hits “103.5 Bob-FM” KBPA is down 9.8 to 9.1. Public News/Talk 90.1 KUT-FM rises 5.1 to 5.3. iHeartMedia Country 98.1 KVET-FM slips 5.4 to 4.7. Audacy Hot AC “Mix 94.7” KAMX rises 3.9 to 4.5.
Classical 89.5 KMFA trends up 1.9 – 2.1 – 2.5. Waterloo Media Sports “ESPN 102.7” KBPA-HD2 climbs 0.5 – 0.8 – 1.4.
Raleigh/Durham
Capitol Broadcasting AC “Mix 101.5” WRAL-FM is down from its 11.6 in Holiday 2022 to a 9.9 share.
Public News/Talk 91.5 WUNC-FM is second 8.8 to 7.9. Radio One Adult R&B “Foxy 107.1/104.3” WFXC/WFXK is up 7.6 to 7.8. With Christmas music on weekends, Curtis Media Classic Hits “Kix 102” WKIX-FM/WKXU/WJO climbs 5.1 to 6.9. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk “Talk 106.1” WTKK is down 6.0 to 5.0.
Radio One Hip Hop “K97.5” WQOK jumps up 3.4 to 4.4. iHeartMedia CHR “G105” WDCG trends up 2.6 – 2.9 – 3.9, while Curtis Media CHR “Pulse-FM” 96.9 WPLW rises 1.5 to 2.1.
Indianapolis
Radio One AC “B105.7” WYXB rises from a 17.1 in 2022 to a 19.5. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes that breaks its previous high of 18.2 set in Holiday 2019.
Radio One Adult R&B 106.7 WTLC-FM is up 6.1 to 6.6. Cumulus Classic Hits 104.5 WJJK falls 8.0 to 6.2. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Q95” WFBQ is down 7.4 to 5.9. Cumulus Country 95.5 WFMS is off 6.1 to 5.6.
Cumulus CHR 99.5 WZPL rises 4.9 to 5.3, while sister Rock “93.9X” WNDX jumps up 2.8 to 3.8 for what Huff notes is its highest share since it stunted with Christmas music in Holiday 2017 between its format change from Classic Hip Hop “93.9 The Vibe” to CHR “Energy 93.9“.
Nashville
Midwest Communications AC “Mix 92.9” WJXA is up three shares from its 14.4 in 2022 to a 17.4. Salem Christian AC “94 The Fish” WFFH/WFFI is tied for fifth with Christmas music as its 5.0 share rises from a 4.6 last year.
Cumulus Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX moves up to second 7.3 to 6.9. Midwest Variety Hits “96.3 Jack-FM” WCJK is down 7.9 to 6.5. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “105.9 The Rock” WNRQ drops 6.4 to 5.1. Tying WFFH/WFFI for fifth is Cumulus Classic Country “95.5 Nash Icon” WSM-FM as it rebounds 4.3 to 5.0.
After a four month growth trend following its flip last June, Midwest Classic Country “Y’all 106.7” WNFN drops 4.0 to 1.5.
Milwaukee
iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 Big-FM” WRIT-FM leads the three Christmas stations in Milwaukee, but drops from its 11.2 to 2022 to 8.9 this year ranking second overall in the market. Milwaukee Radio Alliance AC “B93.3” WLDB places third overall with its 7.5 share up a drop from 7.4 in 2022. Saga’s “Pure Oldies 106.9” WRXS is barely up to a 3.3 from a 3.2 in 2022.
iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 1130 WISN retains its market lead 9.6 to 9.0. Saga Classic Rock “Hometown Rock 96.5” WKLH was fourth 8.8 to 7.1. Good Karma News/Talk 620 WTMJ placed fifth 7.6 to 6.4.
Audacy CHR “103.7 Kiss-FM” WXSS rises 3.0 – 3.6 – 4.1. Hubbard Classic Rock “97.1 The Drive” WDRV Chicago/96.9 WWDV rises 2.0 – 2.5 – 3.0, which Huff notes is a record high for the station in Milwaukee.
Providence
Cumulus AC “Lite 105.1” WWLI climbed from a 16.9 share in 2022 to a 19.0 for what Huff notes is a new all-time record high for the station.
Hall Communications’ “Cat Country 98.1” WCTK placed second 9.0 to 7.3. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “B101” WWBB dipped 6.9 to 6.7 followed by sister Rock 94.1 WHJY down 7.2 to 6.6. Cumulus News/Talk 630 WPRO/99.7 WEAN was down 6.4 to 5.9.
Cumulus CHR “92 Pro-FM” WPRO-FM continues its slide from a 7.4 share in July down 4.5 to 3.9 for what Ratings Expert Chris Huff states is its lowest share in nearly 50 years in Spring 1974 when it flipped halfway through the survey from Easy Listening to Top 40.
Norfolk/Virginia Beach
Audacy AC “101.3 2WD” WWDE rises from a 14.4 to 15.8 (adding another 0.2 on its stream). Huff notes that is a new record high for them in part due to iHeartMedia Hot AC “Movin 107.7” WMOV-FM not going all-Christmas this year after registering a 4.5 share last year.
Audacy Adult R&B “95.7 R&B” WVKL is second 9.6 to 8.8. Sinclair Communications’ Variety Hits “93.7 Bob-FM” WNOB dips 7.4 to 7.0. Saga Classic Rock “106.9 The Fox” WAFX is up 5.4 to 5.6. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “103 Jamz” WOWI inches up 5.4 to 5.5.
Failing to go all-Christmas sends “Movin 107.7” WMOV-FM down 2.0 to 1.2 month-to-month. Audacy Rhythmic CHR “Z104” WNVZ rises 2.5 to 3.0. Sinclair Alternative “96X” WROX gains 1.5 to 2.2.
Jacksonville
Renda AC 96.1 WEJZ rises from an 18.1 in 2022 to a 19.8 share, which Huff notes sets a new station record high. Radio Training Network Christian AC “The Joy FM” 88.1 WCRJ climbs month-to-month 1.4 to 2.3.
Cox Classic Rock “96.9 The Eagle” WJGL is down 10.2 to 8.5. iHeartMedia Adult R&B “V101.5” WSOL (7.0 to 6.5) and Cox News/Talk 104.5 WOKV-FM (6.8 to 6.5) tie for third. Cox Soft AC “Easy 102.9” WEZI drops 7.2 to 5.3.
Greensboro/Winston-Salem
iHeartMedia AC “Mix 99.5” WMAG drops from its record high 17.4 last year to a 16.5 share.
Audacy Adult R&B 97.1 WQMG is down 12.8 to 11.8, but its stream adds a 1.7 share. Audacy Variety Hits “98.7 Simon” WSMW drops 9.4 to 7.7. Audacy Hip Hop “102 Jamz” WJMH is down 7.5 to 6.2, but its stream is now ranked separately with a 2.8 share. Dick Broadcasting Classic Rock “92 Rock” WKRR is fifth 6.0 to 5.3.
iHeartMedia Country “Q104.1” WTQR is down 4.0 to 3.0 setting a new all-time record low for that station.
Public News/Talk 88.5 WFDD trends up 3.6 – 4.0 – 4.2, while neighboring 91.5 WUNC-FM Raleigh is up 1.5 – 1.7 – 2.2.
West Palm Beach
Hubbard Classic Hits “Sunny 107.9” WEAT rises from a 7.8 in 2022 to a 9.6 share thanks in part to iHeartMedia AC “Kool 105.5” WOLL not going all-Christmas this year after a 5.9 share in 2022.
Hubbard Hot AC 97.9 WRMF was second rising 7.0 to 7.5, while sister Adult R&B “X102.3” WMBX place third down 8.7 to 6.4. WOLL was fifth down 5.5 to 5.1. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “98.7 The Gator” WKGR dipped 4.5 to 4.3.
iHeartMedia Spanish AC “Mia 94.3” WRLX rises 2.1 to 2.6.
Memphis
Audacy AC “104.5 The River” WRVR jumps significantly from a 10.8 share in 2022 to a 15.4 share.
iHeartMedia Adult R&B “V101” KJMS is down 12.9 to 11.2. iHeart Gospel “95.7 Hallelujah-FM” WHAL-FM trends up 7.8 – 8.0 – 8.3. iHeart Hip Hop “K97” WHRK is done 8.6 to 7.9. Audacy Country “99.7 The Wolf” WLFP rises 5.0 to 5.3.
iHeartMedia Hot AC “102.7 Kiss-FM” WEGR falls for the fifth straight month down 2.2 to 1.6 after peaking at a 3.9 in September following its May format change.
Cumulus and Flinn continue to not subscribe in Memphis.
Hartford
Audacy AC “Lite 100.5” WRCH is up from a 15.8 in 2022 to a 16.9 share, while adding an additional 0.8 share on its stream.
iHeartMedia Classic Hits “105.9 The River” WHCN is down 8.8 to 7.5. Audacy Hip Hop “Hot 93.7” WZMX rises 4.7 to 5.6 to tie sister Hot AC 96.5 WTIC-FM (down 6.8 to 5.6). iHeartMedia Country 92.5 WWYZ falls 8.2 to 5.4.
