After nearly six years in mornings at LM Communications Hot AC “Hits 106.3” WCDA Versailles/Lexington KY, Mandy Williamson will move to afternoons with a new co-host.
Williamson joined WCDA in January 2017 after eight years at “Island 106” WILN Panama City where she was part of multiple morning shows rising from intern to lead host alongside Jimmy Phillips, who would later rejoin her in Lexington. Phillips will now move over to Sports “ESPN 1300/92.5” WLXG/W223CV, while Williamson will move to afternoons alongside Shayna Say, who currently hosts middays on Hip Hop “107.9 The Beat” WBTF.
In a Facebook post announcing the move, Williamson wrote, “It has been over 13 years since I’ve been able to wake up with my kids or participate in any of there school activities. Making the move to Afternoons gives me this opportunity. Shayna and I will be entertaining you on your way home from work instead of waking you up on your drive in. Its still going to be very similar to what we did in the mornings just no Jimmy but please believe we will still have him on from time to time getting all the scoop on being a new daddy and of course all things sports.”
To succeed Mandy and Jimmy in mornings, WCDA has added YEA! Networks’ Kidd Kraddick Morning Show.
