Beasley Media Soft AC “Sunny 106.3” WJPT Fort Myers FL has added Gina Birch as morning host starting today.
Birch is best known locally for her two decade run at AC 96.9 WINK-FM where she spent 14 years in mornings with C. David Bennett and later hosted middays. She also hosts a wine podcast for WGCU and writes for multiple publications.
With the addition of Birch, Shiela Book moves back to middays. Book had hosted middays for fifteen years until taking over mornings last May.
Beasley Media Group announces Gina Birch has been named as the new morning personality of Mornings with Gina Birch from 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. on WJPT-FM in Ft. Myers. Her first official day on the air will be on Monday, February 14, 2022.
Birch is no stranger to radio. She worked full time as a morning and midday personality at Wink 96.9 (Fort Myers/ Naples) from 1992 to 2013 and currently hosts a weekly infomercial and Grape Minds wine podcast on NPR1. In addition, she is a contributing writer for TOTI Media publications, Gulf Shore Life magazine, USA Today, 10Best, Naples Daily News and Fort Myers News Press.
