After being let go from his role as morning host at Cumulus Media News/Talk 910 WSBA in their November cuts, Gary Sutton is joining York Professional Baseball Club Sports 1350 WOYK/98.9 W255DJ York PA in the same position starting Tuesday, January 14.
Sutton will be heard weekdays from 6-9am with his show being a general interest talk show.
General Manager Darrell Henry said, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Gary to WOYK. We have the words ‘first in York’ in our motto, and this is the icing on that cake.” Co-owned with the Atlantic League’s York Revolution, the station carries Fox Sports Radio programming along with a number of local sports play-by-play including the Revolution, Hershey Bears hockey, York College basketball, and local high school sports.
Sutton had been with WSBA since 1991 and a full-time host at the station since 1997 starting as co-host of its Sports show before moving to general talk and then mornings. He is also a longtime high school basketball coach in York where he was inducted into the local Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
Sutton has also joined Hearst News/Talk 1090 WBAL Baltimore to host a Saturday morning show from 7-10am.
