Fort Myers Broadcasting is purchasing Soft AC “Wave 101.1” WAVV Naples Park/Fort Myers FL from Alpine Broadcasting Corporation for $8 million.
WAVV will join holdings that include AC 96.9 WINK-FM Fort Myers, Spanish Rhythmic “97.7 Latino” WTLQ-FM Punta Rassa, and Spanish Tropical “Maxima” 95.7 W239CL Golden Gate/97.3 W247CR Pine Island Center/WTLQ-HD2. The company also owns CBS affiliate WINK-TV.
Alpine Broadcasting also operates Call Communications Group’s 107.9 W300EF Naples as Easy Listening “Easy 107.9” fed via WAVV-HD2. The deal includes the transfer of the right to operate the translator through July 2026 with three five year automatic renewals unless the tower lease is not renewed.
