Central FM has hired Alan Edwards as Head of Content and breakfast show co-host.
He replaces Liam McCann, who has been on the air at Central FM for the last 12 years, and will co-host with Shaz (Sharon Oakley) on the morning programme.
Liam is heading to CCUK to be Content Controller at Capital Scotland.
Alan started his career at Radio Clyde in 2002. His first job was working on the long running football show Superscoreboard, rigging the equipment at stadiums for live commentaries before becoming a studio producer
He spent six years as a producer for various shows on the station, managing talent like George Bowie, Suzie McGuire, Gina McKie and many more.
Alan first went on air as presenter in 2006 on Clyde 2 and from there, hosted all the slots on the station. This included four years as presenter of the Breakfast Show on the Greatest Hits Network of stations across Scotland between 2014 and 2018.
He was most recently host of the Drivetime Show until March of this year.
Over the last few months, Alan has provided holiday cover on Countryline Radio.
