Former BBC presenter Frankie Connor joins Liverpool Live Radio

Former BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Frankie Connor is joining Liverpool Live Radio to host a weekend show.

Frankie previously presented various programmes on BBC Radio Merseyside including his retro show, for over 26 years.

Liverpool Live Radio said: “We are delighted to announce Frankie Connor will be joining the Liverpool Live team of broadcasters every Saturday 1pm to 3pm.

“Frankie will bring his much-loved retro radio show to Liverpool Live and will feature music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. He will also share stories and trivia about the songs and the singers. If you are a fan of classic music and nostalgia, you will enjoy Frankie Connor’s retro show.”

Away from radio, Connor was once part of a group called The Hideaways in the 1960s who became very popular in Liverpool during the Merseybeat era.

Frankie’s retro show launches on Liverpool Live Radio this Saturday, 9th December from 1pm.
