Forever Media Launches Nu 92.7 York

After closing on its $400,000 acquisition of Sports “ESPN Radio 92.7” WONN-FM Starview and 1490 WLPA/92.5 W223CH Lancaster PA from Hall Communications, Forever Media has launched new formats on both signals.

WONN-FM has flipped to CHR as “Nu 92.7” WNUU. The station has launched with 10,000 songs commercial-free positioning as “York’s New Music Station”. The station becomes the third CHR heard in York, but the only one superserving that market joining iHeartMedia’s “FM 97” 96.9 WLAN-FM Lancaster and Cumulus Media’s “Hot 106.7” WWKL Hershey/Harrisburg.

1490 WLPA/92.5 W223CH have become a simulcast of Classic Rock “Rocky 98.5” WYCR York-Hanover. New WRKY calls are in place.

The changes took place on October 15, but Hall failed acknowledge the new brands until this week.
