Flagship BBC event Asian Network Certified to be hosted in Bradford

Asian Network Breakfast Show host Nikita Kanda and AJD have announced Asian Network Certified will be hosted in Bradford in 2024.

The flagship event, which was in Birmingham this year, will offer an evening of music and DJs at Bradford’s St Georges Hall on Saturday 17th February 2024.

Ahmed Hussain, Head of Asian Network, said: “Asian Network Certified is an exciting evening of live music, full of incredible energy and talent that represents British Asian identity and culture and I’m so excited that we can bring this event to Bradford.

“The night will celebrate the same energy that we share with our listeners every day. It’s a mashup of all genres and that’s exactly what we are bringing to the people of Bradford!”

Nikita Kanda said: “I’m so excited to be back hosting the second ever Asian Network Certified event up in Bradford. With non-stop mashups and mixes, we are sure to bring high energy and chaos throughout the evening and what better place than in 2025’s City of Culture.

“Everyone’s invited so make sure you get your tickets and come and join the fun. It’s going to be one you don’t want to miss so come and party with us.”

AJD added: “After hosting Asian Network Certified in Birmingham in 2022, we now return to a huge stage in the city of Bradford!

“And we are kicking off Bradford’s City of Culture 2025 celebrations early in pure Asian Network style. Big blends, exclusive mixes and special guests, you just have to be there. You don’t know WHAT can happen!”

Those without tickets can tune into the live build-up on BBC Asian Network from 5pm and all the action can be heard live and on demand on BBC Sounds.
