Hispanic Target Media has entered into a pair of Consent Decrees for its license renewals across its network “Radio Amigo” branded Regional Mexican stations.
A petition to deny was filed against 106.7 KPQS Waterford CA by Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Modesto claiming the station has been mostly off the air for eighteen months prior to January 2022. The station’s tower site lease was terminated by American Tower Corporation in June 2021 for non-payment, but it has continued to operate from the site while attempting to resolve the issue. Following an FCC letter, KPQS submitted photographs of the KPQS facility, power bill receipts, a copy of the lease agreement, and statements of employees proving the station was operational, however admitted to failing to maintain its online public file.
Hispanic Target Media also agreed to a consent decree for its other six licenses in California for the same failure to maintain its public files. Those stations are: 92.7 KUTM Kerman, 95.1 KHMJ Trona, 100.9 KHMU Buttonwillow, 105.7 KOHM Ridgecrest, 106.3 KPQW Willows, and 106.5 KEGT San Miguel.
The following property owners have been issued Notices of Illegal Pirate Broadcasting for pirate stations emanating from their properties:
- Edward P. Stallworth – 89.1 Battle Creek MI
- Onick Bouquet – 105.7 Brentwood NY
- Hager Management, Inc. and 1720 Nostrand Avenue Corp. – 98.9 Brooklyn NY
