FCC Seal 2020 Federal Communications CommissionPotter Radio LLC’s 95.1 K236CT Pawhuska OK has been issued a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture of $3500 for failing to timely file a license to cover for its Construction Permit and engaging in unauthorized operation of the translator after its construction permit had expired. K236CT was granted the six month COVID-19 extension of its CP setting its expiration date of July 4, 2021. After failing to file for its license on that date the CP was considered expired and deleted. They then filed a Petition For Reconsideration on July 23 stating that the translator was constructed and operating prior to July 4. After being granted a waiver by the FCC, the license was filed for on August 2.

Minority Educational Broadcasting Association’s proposed $3500 penalty for failing to file its license renewal for WPJM-LP Palatka FL on time was cancelled after the operator showed it lacked the financial resources to afford to pay.

Grady Turner’s WZTR Dahlonega GA and The Associated Students of Montana Tech’s KMSM-FM Butte MT entered into Consent Decrees to bring their public files into compliance as part of the license renewals.

Hull Broadcasting, Inc. licensee of KBGL Larned and KFIX Plainville KS entered into a Consent Decree with the FCC for failing to maintain its online public file.

Deletions

Portsmouth Abbey School surrendered the license of Classical 90.7 WJHD Portsmouth RI.

Fred Weinberg’s Nevada Radio LLC has turned in the license of Talk 98.5 KNNT Battle Mountain NV. KNNT aired programming from his “Nevada Talk Network” based at 1230 KELY Ely NV.
