FCC Report 6/12: West Palm Beach Move-In Proposed

FCC Actions

After Entravision and Prescott Valley Broadcasting failed to reach a settlement on what to compensate Prescott Valley for its forced move of AC 106.7 KPPV Prescott AZ to 106.9 to allow Entravision’s “La Suavecita” 106.9 KDVA Buckeye to move to 106.7 and 107.1 KVVA-FM Apache Junction to move to Sun Lakes AZ operating from Phoenix’s South Mountain antenna farm, the FCC has ordered the reimbursement to KPPV of the following:

  • $2,006 for engineering services
  • $4,130 for legal services tied to the channel change
  • $10,685 for legal services tied to the reimbursement negotiations
  • $1,110 for FCC filing fees
  • Establishing the cost of $60 per box of business cards, $195 per box of window envelopes, and $85 per box of plain envelopes with new frequency
  • Reimbursement for the costs of three months of inserts in the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce newsletter

The FCC sought further information regarding other expenses to determine what Entravision will be liable in terms of equipment purchases, further marketing materials, and promotional items connected to the frequency change.
