FCC Report 3/6: First Non-Commercial Filing Window MX Group Resolved

FCC Seal 2020 Federal Communications CommissionThe FCC has resolved the first mutually-exclusive applications from the November 2021 non-commercial filing window. Blackfeet Tribe of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation of Montana’s application for 90.7 Little Browning MT has been named the winner of MX Group 131 over Holy Spirit Radio’s application for 90.7 Conrad MT via the Tribal Priority for Native American Tribes.

Ed Stolz’ Silver State Broadcasting’s 790 KBET Winchester NV has been issued a Notice of Violation after the FCC Enforcement Bureau noted the tower fence gate was unlocked.

Amy Meredith’s Mega Moo Radio Company has been issued a $1500 penalty for failing to timely file its post-auction longform application for its CP won in FCC Auction 109 last summer. Mega Moo won the 100.3 Clayton OK allocation in the auction and was due to file its longform application by September 13, 2021, but did not until the next day requesting a waiver of the rules. The FCC granted the waiver, but found the penalty warranted for failing to follow the rules and not establishing good cause for the violation.
