JVC Media has brought the national ESPN Radio lineup back to the Orlando market on “ESPN 660” WDYZ Altamonte Springs.
The ESPN brand was last heard in the market on Cox Media Group’s 580 WDBO from 2012 until its flip back to News/Talk in June 2020. WDYZ will carry the national lineup around the clock.
WDYZ had been the originating station for JVC’s Talk “Florida Man Radio“. That brand remains in the market on 105.5 W288CJ Oviedo fed via 103.1 WFYY-HD3.
JVC Broadcasting, one of America’s largest independent and locally owned broadcast and entertainment companies, continues to bring top-quality entertainment options to the markets it serves with the addition of ESPN Radio to WDYZ-AM 660 in Orlando – to be known as ESPN 660 – Orlando Sports Radio as of Wednesday February 8th, 2023.
ESPN 660 Orlando is Central Florida’s 24 hour a day home for ESPN Radio – the Worldwide Leader in Sports, featuring exclusive NBA, MLB, NFL, and NCAA action, Keyshawn, JWill & Max mornings from 6-10am, followed by #Greeny at 10am, and a star-studded lineup the rest of the day. ESPN 660 Orlando will be the #1 choice Central Florida sports fans, exclusively airing the biggest and most compelling sporting events in the world, beginning with the Daytona 500, from start to finish on February 19th.
Why ESPN Radio? JVC Florida’s Director of Programming Stevie DeMann answers, “ESPN Radio offers the access to play-by-play, nationally known talent, and athletes that cannot be replicated. ESPN 660 Orlando will air events like the Daytona 500 and the College Football Playoffs, giving radio listeners long-awaited access to these ‘must listen to’ sports, that previously were not available in Central Florida. We will have the largest selection of compelling sports content on ESPN 660 Orlando.”
“I’m thrilled with the partnership our Orlando team put together with ESPN Radio. ESPN 660 Orlando brings the biggest sporting events in the world to the Central Florida radio audience,” says JVC President and CEO John Caracciolo. “A market like Orlando is on the go all the time. This is a great chance for our business partners to reach mobile sports fans across the region and giving radio listeners access to their favorite games on one radio station!”
With the debut of ESPN 660 Orlando, JVC’s wildly popular Florida Man Radio featuring Bubba the Love Sponge mornings and The Shannon Burke Show in afternoons, will continue to be available in the Orlando market on 105.5FM and 103.1-HD3, on the FREE Florida Man Radio app, and its network of stations in Ocala/Gainesville and Fort Walton Beach.
