Educational Media Foundation is entering the Terre Haute IN market with the acquisition of Classic Country “95.9 The Legend” WVIG Seelyville from DLC Media.
EMF will pay $335,000 for the station, which will break off from DLC Media’s four other stations in the market. DLC had acquired what became WVIG in a 2016 three-way deal involving Midwest Communications and Emmis.
Upon acquisition of the former “95.9 Duke-FM” WDKE, DLC Media rebranded the station as “95.9 The Legend” WVIG. The station features current DLC Media Operations Manager Barry Kent in mornings. Kent previously spent 31 years as OM/PD/morning host at Country 99.9 WTHI Terre Haute and is a member of the Country Radio Hall of Fame.
