Emery Songer To Host Late Mornings At WHO & WMT

Emory Songer 1110 KFAB 1040 WHO 600 WMTiHeartMedia News/Talk 1110 KFAB Omaha afternoon host Emery Songer will pull double-duty back home in Iowa hosting “Emory on Iowa” from 9-11am weekdays on News/Talk 1040 WHO Des Moines and 600 WMT Cedar Rapids.

The move brings Songer back to Des Moines where he previously served as a producer for WHO and sister Sports 1460 KXNO/106.3 KXNO-FM from 2018-23. He relocated to Omaha in June 2023 to host afternoons at KFAB.

“Emory on Iowa” is described as “covering all things Iowa from border to border” exploring community events around the state, current and political issues and amazing feats in and around Iowa. Songer stated, “I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to connect with Iowans all over the state and beyond. I can’t wait to continue the rich heritage of these legendary radio stations and to celebrate the next chapter of WHO and WMT!”

Songer takes the 9-11am timeslot that had been held on WHO and WMT by Jeff Angelo until his move to mornings on WHO in June.
