Earth-FM Completes Greenville Upgrade

Earth FM 95.5 WLTE 95.9 103.3 WRTH Salem Media Group Classic Hits “Earth-FM” has completed its upgrade on one of its two signals improving their coverage of Greenville proper.

95.9 WLTE Pendleton has completed its move to 95.5 licensed to Powdersville SC as a Class A operating with 6kW/89m. The move improves WLTE’s coverage in Greenville and its suburbs at the expense of Anderson and Clemson. The station continues to simulcast 103.3 WRTH Greer, which covers the norther side of Greenville and through Spartanburg.

The move comes with Salem filing an interference claim agains Malcom X Grassroots Movement’s 95.5 WMXP-LP Greenville, which as a secondary service was required to cease operating once WLTE filed its license to cover. In its claim to the FCC, Salem notes that they attempted to reach out to the LPFM to help them find a new frequency when they first filed their application to move to 95.5, but never received a response back.

WRTH/WLTE registered a 2.1 share in the May 2023 Nielsen Audio ratings.
