Capital XTRA has signed KISS DJ and presenter Omah Howard to host the Capital XTRA Evening Show.
Omah will be on-air Monday to Thursdays from 7pm – 10pm, starting tonight, Monday 5th September.
He’s been doing weekends at KISS recently, and was a previous KISS Chosen One. He has worked at Channel 4, Disney+ and is a continuity announcer for BBC Three.
Omah recently covered the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games alongside being one of the pioneer presenters at The Hundred last summer.
Talking about his move to Global, Omah Howard said: “WOW, Capital XTRA you know! It’s mad because ever since I was a little kid I’ve been a huge fan of the station. The music is representative of my experience and culture and it’s a space where I can authentically be myself and connect to the listeners. Being creative with music and rapping myself growing up… it’s a dream come true to be showing love to the homegrown talent.”
Capital XTRA Managing Editor Matt Deverson told RadioToday: “We’re hugely excited to welcome Omah to the Capital XTRA team. Omah is a naturally talented presenter and he is genuinely passionate about the artists and records we play on Capital XTRA. I can’t wait to hear him on the station.”
The move comes after previous evening presenter Robert Bruce moved to Breakfast.
