Digio Strategies Acquires Mississippi News Platform Darkhorse Press

Digio Strategies Jackson Darkhorse PressDigio Strategies is growing its operations in Jackson and Meridian MS with the purchase of Therese Apel’s Darkhorse Press.

Launched in 2021, the publication focuses on crime news in the state of Mississippi. Apel, who previously has worked as a newspaper and television reporter in the state, will anchor morning news updates for four of Digio’s Jackson stations: “Blues 93.1” WHJT-HD2, Classic Country “93.5 The Legend” WHJT, Country “US 96.3” WUSJ, and AC “Mix 98.7” as well as breaking news coverage on CHR “Y101” WYOY and Classic Hip Hop “102.1 The Box” 780 WIIN.
