Derrick Cole Returns To B104 As Program Director

B104 WAEB-FM 104.1 AllentowniHeartMedia has named Derrick Cole as Program Director for CHR “B104” WAEB-FM Allentown PA.

Cole has been serving as a CHR Program Director for iHeart’s National Program Group since July 2019 after previously programming WAEB-FM and sister Rock 95.1 WZZO Bethlehem. Cole has previously been SVP/Programming for the company’s Wilmington/Dover DE cluster, served as Program Director for CHR “FM 97” WLAN-FM Lancaster, “V97” WVRT Williamsport, and “98.3 Kiss-FM” WKSI Winchester VA. He has also worked on-air at the company’s Hartford CT cluster, 106.1 WBLI Long Island, APD of “96.1 Kiss-FM” WPKF Poughkeepsie NY, and MD of “I98.3” WILI Willimantic CT.

He fills part of the duties held by Josh Wolff until his exit earlier this month.

iHeartMedia Allentown announced today that Derrick Cole has been named Program Director for B104, The Valley’s #1 Hit Music Station, effective immediately. iHeartMedia Allentown has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than four stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Program Director, Cole will be responsible for day-to-day operations. He will report to Jeff Hurley, Executive Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia.

Cole joins the Allentown market from iHeartMedia’s National Program Group, where he most recently served as the CHR Program Director. He also previously served as the Program Director for B104 and Program Director for FM97 in Lancaster, PA. He began his career at 98Q in Danbury and is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting
