Cumulus Media has announced the appointment of Derek Falter as VP/Market Manager for their Grand Rapids and Muskegon MI stations.
Falter joins Cumulus from SummitMedia Louisville where he was Director Of Sales And Business Development since March. He previously served as Regional Vice President for Curtis Media Group’s Eastern North Carolina cluster and has also served as Market President for Townsquare Media Duluth MN and Regional General Manager for Hubbard Radio Northern Minnesota.
Falter fills the opening that had been held by Bruce Law until his departure in January.

Cumulus Media owns and operates eight radio stations in West Michigan, including four stations in Muskegon: 98.3 WLCS/WLCS-FM (Classic Hits), NASH Icon 97.5/WLAW-FM (Country), Sunny 92.5/WWSN-FM (AC), and V100/WVIB-FM (Urban), and four stations in Grand Rapids: 105.3 HOT FM/WHTS-FM (CHR), Thunder 107.3/WTNR-FM (Country), The Ticket 106.1FM/1340AM/WJRW-AM (Sports), and 97 LAV-FM/WLAV-FM (Classic Rock).
Falter brings deep experience to Cumulus Media’s radio group and was previously Regional Vice President, Eastern Region, for Curtis Media Group. Prior to that, he was Regional General Manager for Hubbard Radio/2060 Digital in Northern Minnesota. Falter was also Market President and Director of Sales for Townsquare Media in Duluth, MN.
