Davy Rolando Departs WLLD’s Freak Show

‘DJ Davy’ Rolando has announced he is departing Beasley Media Rhythmic CHR “Wild 94.1” WLLD Lakeland/Tampa’s “Orlando and the Freak Show” to focus on his tattoo business.

Rolando has been with WLLD since starting as an intern in 2007 and part of the morning show alongside WLLD Program Director Orlando Davis and Meredith Andrade since 2013 as a producer, mixer and co-host.

In a letter to the audience Rolando stated, “I am so grateful to each and every single one of you that listen to us. Every person that I’ve gotten to meet throughout the years, it’s been truly humbling that you cared about me. I’ve gotten to speak at your kids schools, DJ your weddings, I’ve had strangers treat me like family. We have laughed, cried, celebrated, mourned, and grown together. This has truly meant the world to me. I’ll never forget the amount self doubt that I had when I started the morning show. I didn’t think I’d be good enough, that I was funny, or that people would even like me. But you all quickly made me feel like I was enough. And I love you for that. A little over 3 years ago, I opened up a tattoo shop which has consumed me. I now have 9 full time employees and a partner who deserve my undivided attention. It’s time for me to go all in and bet on myself.”
