David Corey Returns To Bell Media

David Corey, most recently Program Director of Cumulus Media’s “New Country 93.1” WDRQ and Hot AC 96.3 WDVD Detroit, is returning to Bell Media in Canada as Radio Programming Management Consultant starting September 1.

Corey, who exited Cumulus upon the announced sale of WDRQ to Family Life Broadcasting System in June, previously served as Program Director of Hot AC 104.5 CHUM-FM Toronto and rose to VP/Programming for all of Bell Media’s stations during an eleven year run from 2006-17. Corey began his career at CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM Boston at the age of seventeen and would stay there for 22 years eventually rising to serving as APD/MD from 1995 to 2006. After leaving Bell, he would return to Boston as Beasley Media’s National Country Brand Manager and PD of 102.5 WKLB Boston from 2017 until June 2020.

Corey will remain based in the Detroit/Windsor area.

Bell Media operates its radio division in Canada under the iHeartRadio name via license.
