Dana Taylor To Depart WOMX

Mix 105.1 WOMX Orlando Dana TaylorAfter 28 years at Audacy Hot AC “Mix 105.1” WOMX Orlando, Dana Taylor will depart the station following her show on Friday, January 13.

Taylor has been with WOMX since 1994 and has held on-air roles in overnights, evenings, middays and mornings as well as stints as Assistant Program Director, Music Director and since September 2018 as Brand Manager. She also currently co-hosts “The Morning Mix” with Jenn Lopez. Prior to joining WOMX, Taylor served as Music Director at “Sunny 98.5” WFSY Panama City from 1990 to 1994.

Taylor, who has been working with the station on a transition plan for the past month, told AllAccess, “I’m not sure what comes next. I’m wide open and would love to stay in radio — Hot AC/Pop. I’ve always had an interest in news, too. I’ve been thinking about it for a while and it’s time for a new adventure. I love my brand and staff and wish them continued success, and I’m so grateful to our listeners in Orlando. After 28 years, how could I not be grateful?”

Audacy has not announced any plans for Taylor’s positions, but recently posted a want-ad for a new on-air host for WOMX.
