Curtis Media is seeking a new Program Director for Variety Hits “96.1 BBB” WBBB Raleigh.

WBBB has been without a PD for multiple years, with current APD/MD/afternoon host John Fowlkes serving as Interim Program Director. WBBB currently ranks sixth in the Raleigh/Durham market with a 4.3 share, albeit down from a 7.2 two months ago.

The company also has any opening for a Promotions Director and midday host for CHR “Pulse-FM” 96.9 WWPL Goldsboro/Raleigh and 102.5 WPLW Hillsborough/Durham as Elise Gibson departs after eight months in the position.

Curtis Media Group has an immediate opening for a Program Director/Airshift for 100,000 watt 96.1 WBBB (Variety Hits) in Raleigh-Durham, NC – Market #37.

As Program Director, you must have solid on-air skills, be able to coach air talent, manage promotions staff, have social and digital media capabilities, and most importantly, understand how to win with both ratings and revenue.

We are a Live and Local station, with talent in the building! You must love radio and be enthusiastic every day about our ability to make a difference in our listeners’ lives. Applicants must be expressive, polite, and responsive face-to-face, on the phone, with social media, and in writing to listeners, clients, and staff. Requirements for the position include proven success as a Program Director and an understanding of how to use today’s technology to make great radio.

Ideal candidate will be able to foster a strong connection with the Triangle’s W18-34 audience.
