Cumulus Syracuse Launches Streaming AAA SGNL

Cumulus Media has launched a streaming only AAA in Syracuse NY.

The SGNL” is being branded as “Radio Without The Radio” and will feature Alternative “95X” WAQX afternoon host Scott Dixon in middays from 10am to 2pm and Zenetta Chapman in afternoons. Dixon also serves as Digital Content Captain for the new brand.

The SGNL replaces Classic Rock “The Rebel Rocks” in Cumulus’ Syracuse portfolio. The Rebel brand had moved online only in 2019 following the sale of 105.9 WXTL to Educational Media Foundation.

Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces the launch this week of The SGNL (The Signal), Syracuse, NY’s newest streaming-only radio station at https://www.sgnlsyracuse.com/. The station went live on Tuesday, August 23rd at 10:00am EDT and brings the Triple A format to Syracuse music fans, featuring artists including Tame Impala, Florence + the Machine, Jack Johnson, and Beck. The SGNL will feature All Music Mornings, followed by 2019 SAMMY Hall of Fame inductee, Scott Dixon, weekdays from 10:00am-2:00pm, and Zenetta Chapman from 2:00pm-7:00pm.
