Cumulus Media has announced a series of programming staff appointments across Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and New Orleans LA.
Jerold Jackson, currently Program Director of Hip Hop “Q95.5” KRRQ and Adult R&B “Magic 104.7” KNEK Lafayette, will add the roles of Operations Manager for the Baton Rouge cluster and Program Director of Adult R&B 102.9 KMEZ and Gospel “Heaven 106.7” KKND in the New Orleans market. He takes the roles held by J’Michael Francois until his move to SummitMedia at the end of July while retaining his duties in Lafayette that he has held since 2015. Jackson previously held roles with Cumulus programming KMJK Kansas City, WDZZ/WWCK/WWCK-FM Flint, WDAI Myrtle Beach, and WKSP Augusta.
To support Jackson, the following promotions have been made: Hip Hop “Max 94.1” WEMX midday host ‘LaTangela Fay’ Sherman has been promoted to Assistant Program Director for the Baton Rouge cluster, Glen Roberson rises to Music Director of KMEZ and “Q106.5” KQXL Baton Rouge, and Vincent Thomas to Assistant Program Director of KNEK and KRRQ.
