A pair of morning shows have exited Cumulus Media’s Salt Lake City cluster.
Lexi Papadopoulos and Jared ‘Banks’ Danielson have been let go from mornings at Country “93.3 The Bull” KUBL. The duo joined the station in March 2018 after previously co-hosting mornings at Broadway Media CHR “Mix 105.1” KUDD rom May 2012 until November 2016. Papadopoulos has also worked at multiple stations in the Kansas City market, WJBX Ft. Myers FL, and served as a traffic reporter for Cumulus Salt Lake City. Danielson has served as Music Director at KUDD and hosted mornings at Country “101.5 The Eagle” KEGA and nights at iHeartMedia CHR 97.1 KZHT.
KUBL, which rebranded last September from “K-Bull 93” to “93.3 The Bull“, added Travis Daily as PD/afternoon host last month. The station had a 3.0 share in the December 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings trailing KSOP Inc. Country “Z104” KSOP-FM’s 5.7 share, but is ahead of Broadway Media’s “101.5 The Eagle” KEGA’s 1.1.
Mick Martin and Allen Handy depart Classic Rock “K-Bear 101” KBER. The duo have been with KBER since 2005 bouncing between mornings and afternoons, most recently moving back to mornings in March 2020. They both worked at KBER earlier in their careers before moving to mornings at Clear Channel’s then “Rock 99.5” KURR from 1996 to 2000. Martin remained with KURR until 2002, while Handy would spend time in mornings at Sports “1320 K-Fan” KFNZ.
KBER is currently ranked third of three Classic Rock stations in the market with its 2.2 share in the December 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings trailing Bonneville’s “103.5 The Arrow” KRSP’s 5.3 share and iHeartMedia’s “Rock 106.7” KAAZ’s 2.8.
