A pair of changes are taking place on the corporate programming end of Cumulus Media.
Cumulus has announced it has signed Charlie Cook to a long-term contract extension. Cook, who serves as VP/Country Music for Cumulus will continue as Operations Manager for the company’s Nashville cluster and Program Director of “95.5 Nash Icon” WSM-FM, while officially adding the PD duties at “103.3 Country” WKDF. Cook has been with Cumulus since 2014 after previously serving as Director of Programming for West Virginia Radio Corporation, VP/Programming for Westwood One, and as a consultant for McVay/Cook and Associates. At WKDF, Cook succeeds Paul Williams, who remains with the company as PD of Westwood One Nashville overseeing the company’s suite of syndicated Country programming.
Emily Boldon will exit her role as VP of AC Formats and Stratus Music Scheduling at the end of March. Boldon has been in that role since 2006. From 2016 to 2020, she served in the additional role of Program Director of AC “Lite Rock 105.1” WWLI Providence RI.
CUMULUS MEDIA announces that it has re-signed Charlie Cook, Vice President of Country Music for Cumulus, in a long-term contract extension. The extension includes his role with Cumulus Nashville as Programming Operations Manager for Cumulus Nashville’s five-station cluster and as the Program Director for both 95.5 Nash Icon (WSM-FM) and 103.3 Country (WKDF.)
