Award winning podcast producer Pariya Taherzadeh joins Sophie Sluttery for the new podcast Cumming of Age which challenges stigmas surrounding aging and sexual freedom.
Sophie Sluttery, aged 69 and absolutely aware of the irony of that, became a widow at 50 and spent the first couple of years in solitude before deciding to embrace life and its pleasures fully. The journey from grief to rediscovery as well as an unfiltered insight into the bodies, lives and desires of women are central themes to Cumming of Age, alongside totally unexpected Bunnings trip outcomes.
Sophie said:
“I realised that life doesn’t stop as you age. It evolves, and so does our need for sexual intimacy, We’re not just talking about sex. We’re redefining what it means to age passionately,”
Pariya Taherzadeh is both co-host and executive producer and said:
“Working with Sophie on ‘Cumming of Age’ has been a real eye-opener. It’s not just an “old lady” talking about her sexcapades. Soph is an experienced, wise woman who is being vulnerable about her sex life, and telling it like it is – something that a lot of people are afraid to do these days. Don’t let society dictate the boundaries of your happiness. We navigate the thrilling, sometimes tumultuous waters of love, life, and intimacy in the later years.”
Listeners can expect to be enlightened, entertained, educated, and perhaps even a little scandalised. Cumming of Age, celebrating life, pleasure, adventure and sexuality in all its ages and stages, is available now on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, with new episodes every Tuesday.
