Cox Media Group has announced that Rob Roberts has been promoted to Director of CHR Content overseeing 95.1 WAPE Jacksonville, 106.1 WBLI Long Island, “Hot 101.5” WPOI Tampa, and Rhythmic Hot AC “Hits 97.3” WFLC Miami.
Roberts joined Cox in August 2019 as Program Director of Classic Hits 101.1 KONO-FM and Hot AC “Magic 105.3” KSMG San Antonio TX. He was promoted to cluster Operations Manager last November. Roberts has previously held programming roles as Regional Vice President of Programming for Clear Channel and OM/PD of CHR “Y100” WHYI Miami, OM of Cumulus Atlanta and PD of “Q100” WWWQ, and Program Director of Hot AC “Mix 107.3” WRQX Washington DC, “Mix 102.9” KDMX Dallas, and Classic Hits “Kool 105” KXKL Denver.
Cox Media Group (“CMG”) today announced that Rob Roberts has been promoted to Director of CHR Content effective immediately. Roberts will oversee content, programming, and brand strategies for the company’s CHR stations in Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville and Long Island.

Roberts joined CMG in 2019 as Program Director for KONO 101.1 and Magic 105.3 (KSMG). Throughout his career he has held key programming positions at legendary stations in Washington D.C., Atlanta and Miami.
