St. Barnabas Broadcasting has flipped 1460 WMBA/95.7 W239CR to what they call a Country/Rock hybrid “95.7 The Beaver“.
The Beaver County Times notes the station is playing artists including Foo Fighters, Jelly Roll, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Carrie Underwood, Allman Brothers, Brad Paisley, Bruce Springsteen, Charlie Daniels, Dierks Bentley, Doobie Brothers, Blue Oyster Cult, Bob Seger and Billy Joel. The station’s official launch took place on Saturday at a car show promoted by the company.
St. Barnabas Broadcasting SVP JD Turco told the newspaper, “It’s a work-in-process. It’s a lot of fun. I’ve heard some folks listening to it and their responses have been somewhat unbelievable that we’re doing a format like this, and I think it’s going to be very, very, very popular. Hopefully we’ll have plenty of advertisers coming our way because they’re going to want to be part of it.”
WMBA previously simulcast co-owned Conservative Talk 1230 WBVP/99.3 W257EA Beaver Falls.
