Corus has announced the promotion of Ronnie Stanton to Vice President of Audio overseeing the company’s 39 stations in Canada and its Curiouscast Podcast Network.
Stanton previously was National Director of Music and then Vice President of FM Programming since returning to the company in 2020. In a previous stint from 2013-16 he served as National Morning Show Coach, Senior Brand Director for 99.3 CFOX Vancouver, and VP/National Brands and Programming. He has also been Vice President of Programming For Alpha Media in the US, OM/PD of Astral Media Vancouver and PD/Morning host at multiple Australian stations.
Today, it was announced that veteran broadcaster, Ronnie Stanton, will lead the Corus Audio division, as Vice President, Audio, overseeing Corus Entertainment’s 39 FM and AM radio stations as well as the Curiouscast Podcast Network.
Ronnie has guided the company’s FM programming strategy for several years and has worked in competitive, major market media for over twenty years – launching stations in groundbreaking new formats and taking underperforming brands to #1 – in the USA, Australia and Canada.
Throughout his broadcasting career, he has coached industry legends and boldly developed new talent. He has helped small, independent broadcasters compete successfully with major groups, and has worked with media giants looking for innovation and a new competitive edge. He has wide-ranging experience in radio and new media and an extensive background in radio programming, promotions and marketing, music, talent coaching and writing.
