Connect Magazine for community radio returns for second edition

The next edition of Connect, the quarterly magazine by the UK Community Radio Network has gone to print.

Launched in November 2021, Connect Magazine celebrates the work of the sector and is delivered directly to over 350 licensed community radio stations, CDSP license holders, stakeholders, and supporters.

This quarter’s Connect Magazine includes details of the first UKCRN Connecting Communities event, the latest sector news, inspirational projects, and more.

The edition also features exclusive interviews with Tom Phipps of BBC Radio Wales, who started off in Community Radio, and Seb Bailey of Somer Valley FM, who recently took part in Radio 1’s Christmas takeover and will return to the station in April for Friday Early Breakfast.

UK Community Radio Network co-founder Nathan Spackman said: “It’s been a pleasure seeing the Magazine grow from our launch edition, seeing more great stories of Community Radio in action, not only supporting their local community, but also developing those involved in their stations.

“I really hope the magazine continues to inspire others with ideas, suggestions, and solutions.”

The next edition of Connect Magazine is due out in May, and for any station that has a great case study, report from events & special activities, or has something to showcase from their station, get in touch via ukcommunity.radio/submit-news.
