Clint Boon announces departure from radio and XS Manchester Drive Show

XS Manchester Drive presenter Clint Boon is leaving the station after seven years on the drive time slot.

Clint announced the move on his show today, with a follow-up statement on social media.

He’s been working on radio in the north west on and off since first joining Crash FM in 1995.

He was part of the launch line-up on XFM Manchester and has worked on The Revolution, Century, BBC Radio Manchester and more.

Clint said he’s decided to step away from the radio to focus on some other stuff going on in his life, including his band, the Inspiral Carpets, which is back in action.

Communicorp UK, owner of XS Manchester, tells RadioToday there will be news of his replacement announced in due course.
