Positioning as “Raleigh’s Number One For Throwbacks”, the new format launched at midnight with DMX “Party Up”, DJ Kool “Let Me Clear My Throat” and Destiny’s Child “Survivor”. It will run with 5,000 songs commercial free to launch. The new brand positions the station between Radio One’s combo of Adult R&B “Foxy 107.1/104.3” WFXC/WFXK and Hip Hop “K97.5” WQOK.
