Cindy Scull Exits Mornings At KEGL

After 23 years over two stints, Cindy Scull has exited iHeartMedia Rock “97.1 The Eagle” KEGL Dallas.

Scull served as APD/MD/afternoon host from 1994 until the station’s 2004 flip to Soft AC. She then hosted middays at sister Classic Rock “Lonestar 92.5” KZPS and Cumulus Classic Rock “93.3 The Bone” KDBN. Scull would rejoin KEGL in 2008, a few months after the “Eagle brand returned. Over the next five years, she bounced from nights to mornings to middays before claiming mornings for good in 2013. Prior to her long tenure in Dallas, Scull worked at Rock stations across the country including WBAB Long Island, KATT Oklahoma City, KFOG San Francisco, and KLOS and KNAC Los Angeles.

Scull noted on Instagram that she exited on November 30 due to a contract dispute. Scull wrote that she wanted to work from home, while the company wanted her back in the studios.

KEGL has not publicly announced its plans for the morning show, but weekend host Debbie Sexxton is now listed in the timeslot on the station’s website.
